What is included with my registration?
Your registration includes all materials associated with the Paint War event. The first 50 to register, get a Paint War T-Shirt included.
Can I buy another T-shirt?
Event T-shirts will be available to purchase in limited quantities and sizes the day of the event and will be first come, first served on the day of purchases.
What about check-in?
Check-in begins at 1:30 at the check-in area, which is located under the portico on the parking lot side of the church.
Do you allow walk-up registration?
Yes, you can register as a walk-up participant, but it is not encouraged. In order to help us plan appropriately for the number of persons participating, please register in advance.
Is the paint safe?
We will use powdered and liquid paint for the event. Both the powdered and the liquid paint are tempura-based paints, which are non-toxic. The powder is all certified non-toxic. We recommend wearing sunglasses or goggles, and a bandana over your mouth, for extra protection. The powdered paint is safe to inhale as you play the games, but those with extreme allergies or asthma need to be advised that it may not be safe to participate in this event.
Can my kid be dropped off?
It is recommended, but not required, that middle and high school students have a parent in attendance as a spectator during the event. However, a parent/guardian MUST register a child for the child to participate. PLEASE BRING A BAG CHAIR WITH YOU TO SIT IN TO WATCH YOUR CHILD PARTICIPATE.
What about supervision and safety?
There will be able supervision provided by qualified and trained adults for the event. Including a med station in the event of minor scrapes and bumps. All of our trained adults have been BCI background and state finger printed. (the same background check that a teacher working at the school would get)
What should a participant wear?
You should wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. Most of the paint will wash off, but participants will be very messy by the end of the event. It is recommended that you wear old shoes and old shorts. We will have a post-event wash-down area with a water hose to help with washing after the event.
How does the color affect the inside of cars?
Most people bring some towels for the insides of their cars, or a change of clothes just in case. We will have the assistance of the Grafton Township Fire Dept. to hose off with!
What about restroom facilities?
There will be outside portable facilities available during the event.
